hey gang, well actually i have had two vans but i count my parents van which brings the amount to three.
1)1967 sportvan 108 deluxe, 283, 2 speed powerglide, full window model, red and white
van owned by my parents from about 1972 to 1983 until we put her to rest.
2)1967 sportvan 108 deluxe, 283, 2 speed powerglide, full window model, blue and white, 283 replaced with 305.stripped and sent to the boneyard because she was in bad shape.
3)1969 sportvan 108 custom, 350, 2 speed powerglide, full window model, faded sky blue, 15" chevy rallys.
i plan on keepimg this one because the body is really straight and repair will not be as bad as i thought.

I thought you wanted what vans we CURRENTLY owned......If I listed everything I ever had with a motor and 4 wheels it would be in 3 digits, and if gotavan started his list Smiley would need more server space.....

10-09-2002, 05:30 PM
OK Guys, lets get back to 64-70 Chevy/Gmc vintage vans, Sooner or later we will get around to all our other toys! ~Don~

10-09-2002, 06:50 PM
Ok then 64 Handi-van 250 pontiac engine 3 spd on the tree, got her in '82 still working on her though, now has 250 chev out of a 69 chevelle, might do the conversion to 2 spd, have parts but no time. Also have a 65 Chev van ,got her in june.It had a big ol camper on it and now it's gone, looks like a pickup now so I might just finish it as such.Pheeeewwwww.too much work....AC.. http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

hey hows about a pic of the 65 van pickup, Dodge and F&%# had them I always thought that a Chevy would look better.

10-11-2002, 01:09 PM
I've got a van. Ok...it's actually tyco plastic model of a van. Err...Actually it broke, and I threw it away. So I don't technically have it any more. But I once did. Really...I did.

10-11-2002, 11:56 PM
Ya I got a van. Don't want to clog up the system. I made a balsa wood Chevy van and it broke but I didn't throw it away. And Chevy did build a forward control pickup Corvair 95 rampside. Yeeuuugghh..

Hey Dan, the rust streaks on the van in the middle make it look like Alice Cooper....

10-13-2002, 03:01 PM
What, rust on one of my vans, I was hopein nobody would notice. Oh and those aren't rust streaks, its that way on purpose. I had to miss Alice's concert in Kalamazoo last tues. to go to Hershey, PA.

10-14-2002, 08:35 AM
I was thinking it looked more like a mime. Alice drives a golf cart more than anything else these days, I think.

10-15-2002, 10:21 AM
Got-a-van. What's that, like a dozen earlies in your yard? You've got it bad, Man! Partyvan.

10-15-2002, 09:16 PM
Yes, I'm sick just ask my wife. No don't. I didn't tell her about the last couple of vans. I added 3 more since that picture was taken last fall. Another view is this months calender pic. The 64 GMC in the middle has no roof it blew off in a windstorm.

10-17-2002, 12:10 PM
Hey Got-a-van. While we're on the topic of vans (ar'nt we always) I'm looking for a good old 64-66 cargo or no-door to use for work. Got one of your many you want to part with? Partyvanbeagles. (Greg Coats Saint Louis, MO. Phone: 636-443-1335)

10-17-2002, 09:31 PM
Sorry, I'm still hoarding every bit of vanabielia I can get. Here in Michigan we're scroungin rusted out clapped out vans that the animals have moved out of. I feel sorry for those poor guys out west that have to call the recycler to discard their carcasses. (just kiddin) Like Moses said the other day "From my cold dead hands!" I keep tellin those kids "No those vans ain't fer sale." You'll have to live in them after college.

"He who dies with the most toys----WINS"
Dan. you are the winner!!!!

10-20-2002, 06:20 PM
"But, he's not quite dead yet..."
"I think I'm gettin' better..."

(from Monty Python and the Holy Grail)

10-20-2002, 07:34 PM
Yeah your right, sorry about that Dan. But you are most certainly in the lead. You got any Mini Coopers or should I "GO FISH".

10-20-2002, 07:52 PM
My kids know every line from "Holy Grail" they get their sick twisted humor from dear old Dad. "I don't want to go on the cart" Vanner 68 if you haven't read E.J.'s book, I highly recommend it. http://www.competitionplus.com/07_17_2002/ej_potter.html

10-21-2002, 09:45 AM

10-21-2002, 04:45 PM
Wow, did this ever get off topic.....
Leadfoot, I'm jealous.....I gotta drive a looooong way for a view like that!
Dan, I'm going to get that EJ book, been meaning to, but now I have a real reason- Obscure Quotes! http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
