A buddy of mine saw an add in the St. Louis paper yesterday and thought of me and so I'm passing it on. 1963 Chevy Van,6cyl,4speed,$1500 or best offer,(636)282-1785.

Just so everyone knows, the 63 van from St. Louis is one of the corvair vans.

I ran accross another chevy van for sale today in the paper and its a 66 window van. talked to the owner alsoand he says that the van was an automatic with a v-8 but the engine and transmission are gone. I'm going to take a look at it saturday and see if it's worth bringing back since he only wants 150.00 for it.

i took a look at that 66 last night, it is really rough, it looks like doors are salvageable, glass is good, some small parts are available, but it doesnt look to be a good prospect for restoration. if you want to make inquires about it, the phone # is 314-382-7781.

What defines "rough" ?

Rust? Dents? Just curious...

DEFINITION OF ROUGH.........WELL THE OWNER OPENED THE SIDE DOORS AND I COULD SEE THE GROUND, SERIOUSLY!!! I COULDNT SEE THE REST OF THE INSIDE BECAUSE HE USES IT FOR STORAGE. ALL THE AREAS ON OUR VANS THAT RUST LIKE CORNERS, GAS FILLER AREA, AND ROCKERS ARE TEN TIMES WORSE THAN YOU COULD IMAGINE. I SEE PROMISE IN ONE OR TWO OF THE SIDE/ BACK DOORS, MAYBE THE FRONT DOORS, THE GLASS LOOKED OKAY, THE BUMPERS SEEMED STRAIGHT, BUT I DID SEE SOMETHING THAT WAS INTERESTING...... THE ORIGINAL BACK SEAT WAS STILL IN THE VAN!!!!!
