Greetings,
I think I’ve got the bug for these Early Vans, is there any cure?
I am just starting my search for an early Chevy or GMC van. I am very impressed with Larry Dunn’s 66 GMC Handibus http://www.vcvc.org/d66l.html and would like to purchase one that has been restored like that. I would consider a good restoration platform as well.
It sounds like, with the little reading I have done, that a V-8 conversion is not out of the question for one of these vans. Am I dreaming to think I will be able to find such a vehicle for sale? In the event that I did what would the price range be? Also, are there any outfits that are restoring these beauties that come highly recommended?
Again, if someone has a good van with all the windows (not a panel van) I would be interested in talking.
I sure have a lot of questions and would appreciate any response.
