What was the name of your van back in the day?
What is your real name?
Did you know a guy with an early Ford named Rudy Baez? (he was in CIV and he lives across the street from me)
You can email me if you want at:

Talked to him again today, he was in the Santa Barbara chapter, he can't remember you, they only came down once a month. Rudy, at 17, was the youngest guy in the club, he had a primered early Ford. Found out that we were both at El Capitan when the guy was shooting at the vans (music too loud???).
Any of these names ring a bell?
Guy Hernandez
Tequila (president?)
Smokey Joe Ortega
(I take it that Channel Islands Vans was a mostly Hispanic club)
He said he had a box of all his van memorabilia, but he lost it somehow when he moved to Ojai. Bummer.

did he go on a lot of runs ?. I was the one that sunk the boat at Disney Land. I was never a officer in the club however me and Dave Willams and Gary Smith as well as Roy Pool were Sgt. at arms at a lot of the runs. in 76 I had a new ford van Greay in color. I was a good friend of Roger the Dutch man Dutchmans Boogie van shop.

God, Dizzyland in the 70's... my friend who drove a cocoa brown early worked there at the Sunkist shop, he had to wear a short-hair wig, no facial hair, etc. Remember they wouldn't let you in if your shirt was untucked? They used to watch the parking lot with binoculars to spot people getting high and kick them out...
