Replaced the front shocks on my 65 only because they we're rusted through but not leaking and still had good resistance. 47000 original miles on van (pedal wear confirms this) I'm guessing the Napa replacements won't even last half as long as the originals. The rear shocks are rusty but not rusted out and a brute to remove although I did get the bottom bolt out and the shocks operate just fine. So the question is should I replace the rears or not...need to get a safety cert for the van

If they are wasted, replace them. Good shocks make your vehicle handle and ride better
