    Shocks

Replaced the front shocks on my 65 only because they we're rusted through but not leaking and still had good resistance. 47000 original miles on van (pedal wear confirms this) I'm guessing the Napa replacements won't even last half as long as the originals. The rear shocks are rusty but not rusted out and a brute to remove although I did get the bottom bolt out and the shocks operate just fine. So the question is should I replace the rears or not...need to get a safety cert for the van

If they are wasted, replace them. Good shocks make your vehicle handle and ride better

Agreed to replace them but what I'm trying to say is I'm tired of paying for and installing inferior crap

How strict is your safety inspections up there.
Here if the top cover is rusted trough at all it is an automatic fail.
Of coarse if any juice is leaking out that is also a fail.
Its a "van thing". A life style you have to live to understand!!!!
