hello all! i was just wandering whether anyone might be attending nats and passing through or near lexington, ky on their way back home. eric (who lives in connecticut)has a quarter panel for me and he will be attending but i can not due to both financial and mechanical shortcomings. however, if anyone would be willing to pick up that panel from him and transport it south for a few hundred miles, i would be forever indebted. i could also meet someone somewhere and pick it up if you are not coming directly through the center of ky. it's not a huge panel, but it does extend from the front of the rear wheel well, around the corner to the door opening. it's about 3 & a 1/2 ft. tall as well. well, just wandering and thank you in advance for even considering it. have a good day everyone!

don't worry guys. eric has got it all arranged. he found a fellow in ky that is willing haul the panel to me. thanks anyway. everyone have a safe and fun time at the nats. the rest of us will be there in spirit... but i don't want to have to drive up there and bail everyone out of jail, so be careful! :) lance.

eric is about as serious a vanner there is. you've got my vote. the nice part is he does these helpful things to be helpful, not for fame or profit. john

I have been in contact with leadfoot throughout his trip to the "Nats"

His trip went well.I am pretty sure he meet up with the Blue Grass Vanner group who were at Suzie and Steve's in Indy.

Other that being a "ticket magnet" his Toyota powered Chopped Early made the trip.

I believe his mpg is in the low 20's, much lower than the 30 he was hoping for.
Can't say that I'm surprised, it just takes a certain minimum amount of gas to push a barn door down the road, O/D or not. The mileage sucked with my old 153-four also.
Sure is a sweet conversion, tho.
Jeez, and I thought mine was a lot of work...
