View Full Version : wanna trade your 1st gen for my 2nd gen?

12-13-2006, 11:35 AM
having way many more parts for 1st gen than 2nd gen ,buiding my wild 65 chop, and my 67 needing some life support- some descisions need to be made soon if i want to have 2 early's going to the NATS next year! so...
i have a 1967 g-10 display van
(windows on pass side only)
aka: Harley Van (once hauled racing bikes)
-has a 1985 HO-305 with 4bbl lots o miles and th350 runs good ,
(trany only has about 30k)
rear is 4:11's and has pretty worn out pinion bearing & spiders tired and wooo'n
-bumpers shaved
-new tires all around, on old painted
keystone classics
-new radiator,and electric cooling fan
-needs right rear spring, and a better rear
-body very straight and solid from from front door hinges back, nose a little dinged and wrinkled around the headlights and was someones poor panel
replacement a long time ago
i wouldn't mind getting another restorable
1st gen 64-66 in comparable shape and value
or i park it till a 2nd gen comes along to be a donor
-still driving it daily here-
-pics are on vcvc2 in leadfoots storage and photo album
-comments or offers?
-i would drive it anywhere ...but thats just me http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/wink.gif right joe? lol

i have only been able to lift one front wheel off the ground on it's best launch http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/wink.gif
but if ya mean on corners? ...
again... only one wheel http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/wink.gif
like my bikes... i never layed it down http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/wink.gif
..oh by the way.. i'll include the original set of cragars and tires
that were on it in the pics (and may even have saved the custom
rear flares i made from an expired bumper cover http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/wink.gif )
along with the keystones and new tires that are on it

maybe i should have my step-daughter log in and describe the ride http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/wink.gif
it was in the first hours of having the
8-banger in,and had no exaust on it other than the Y pipe, even the distributor was hot wired....smoke and crazy loud took a sport up the street, there is a small rise in the road before a small bridge and rolling slow just before it if i'm drivin somethin with nut it is a good lift lol
i love my street... not sure how the neighbors feel when i come rumblin with a new creation though lol
