Inline 6 cyl / is it level?

Got to looking at my 68 chevy van, motor while i have the doghouse cover off. My 250 ci 6 cylinder is sitting much higher in front than in the back
Looks to be at least 2 inches difference from front to back just looking at the valve cover.
Is this normal ??

Give a critical look at the horizontal plane of the intake manifold vs the valve cover....you will notice how it (the intake) is cast in a manner that makes it level with the ground to provide even air/fuel flow into the head ports. The carb is also level too.
