A while ago i wrote about some special nuts that i used to cure a reoccuring problem w/exh. pipe to exh. manifold gasket failure. Dieselvan called them constant touque nuts, well in my travels i ran across some printed material advertising them, their called Full Height Heavy-Duty Hex Flexloc nuts. You can get them in SS so they will not rust. They are made by SPS Technologies and feature a split {like castle head nut} and are then deformed inward on the "up" side of the nut. These do not back off. Fixed my exhaust gasket problems.

Does that joint use a gasket or a donut?
I was gonna say, if it's a donut, always use the sintered metal type.
Anyway, thanks for the info.
