Found an ad for a '65 cube van and am just wondering if this is the same as a panel van. Any help would be appreciated. Also anything I should look for when looking at a '65 chevy cube van?
A step van is a P-series truck and our vans are G-series. I used to own a 80' chevy step van they are alot of fun to drive and if they are fixed up they look good to. A 65 step van would look alot like a old divco used for hauling milk door to door. G-Man
I always thought a "cube" van han a van front end and a box rear end,on a 1 ton chassis...Like U Haul trucks...Always considered the vans pictured as step vans....Wookee
i saw something great the other day - it was apparently a former "cube" van, and someone had removed the "cube" (box) and converted it to a flatbed. so it was a 3rd gen chevy g-20 flatbed dually van *whew*. and, going back to the original post, i always understood a "panel" van to be a pickup truck front end and the "bed" was panelled up to form a van rear. i've found this a bit confusing because some truck catalogs will call a "panel van" simply a "van".

It must be a peginal thing...like we call cold cut samwiches here in Maryland "Subs".In Pa. they call them "hogies".I've never herd a "cube" van called a BW van...
"Bobs Van Shop" in Pa.had a Ford 1 ton set up to pull a 5th wheel trailer. It had a custom body on the back were the "box" was.It was a pretty cool ride...
In the 40s and fifties if it had a truck front end/chassis it was a panel delivery if it had a car front end/ chassis it was a sedan delivery.....Wookee
