i'm happy to re-join this group now that i have the exterior of my 69 almost completely restored. here's my question. i'm now at the point of rebuilding the vent wings and the frustration is setting in. i have all the new rubber and channel parts needed, but those rivets that have been discussed are stumping me. would anyone with the right tooling be interested in rebuilding these? i would gladly pay whatever it takes.

i cant rebuild them but i was curious about the new rubber for a vent wing assembly. Is it from www.steelerubber.com? (http://www.steelerubber.com?) i saw that link in the resource page on vcvc2. i need new ones bad and want to make sure i know where to order the right ones from. thanks

James, thats where you can get them. Pfloyd You can get the rivets & the tool to put them in at Chevy Duty. Seems like somebody said to use 2 tools(one in vice ,hammer on other one),also seems like he said it helps to have somebody to help hold it??, to get a better job. Hope this helps. Tom

Steele Rubber Products has the rubber on page 326 of their catalog. For a 67-70 G10 & G20 van the part for the main seal is #70-2115-55, price $68.50 pr. The division post seal is #70-2116-56, price $38.60 pr. I bought them, but haven't installed them yet. Davis
