Was gonna do an oil/filter change on my '65 today. It looks as if I'm in for a mess when I remove the oil filter. Looks like the oil will run all over the suspension. Any tricks or something extremely obvious that I'm missing??

I dropped in a 350 so the filter is not over the suspension anymore http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/smile.gif

But when I had the 230 I put a oil filter adapter and relocater on it from JC Whitney.

It make the oil changer much easier! The only draw back was it takes a Ford oil filter http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/frown.gif

get a large catch pan. get a piece of cardboard and bend it over suspension, with ends of cardboard sticking down into pan. line up everything under filter, and let er rip! oil will drain down cardboard into pan. http://www.vcvc.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

That's exactly what I did, '68. Thanks for the responses.
