The horn button u have is from a 67-68 chevy pickup, u have the CST or deluxe version.

I may decide to go a different route as I don't really like the way the original light sticks out so far....

Gary, its the large rubber boot that covers the base of the steering column, has 2 holes one for the column the other for the shift rod.
