Mocking up the new disk brake brackets...
I still have to pick up the correct mounting bolts.Calipers & rotors these where spare bolts I had handy in my shop.
I also ran across these..
Front wheel cylinders brand new in the box.
Things that make you go HHHUUUMMMMmmm....
I also know I will have to replace all of my original steel front brake lines once I get deeper into this project.
I am now two months away from the summer driving season...
I still also need to invest in a good 2 stage air compressor.
Undoing the U bolts that hold this front axel in place by hand with NO air is not my idea of a Good Time...

You should look into the "New" technology of battery powered impact guns, I have a Milwaukee that puts out 1400#-ft Torq. , there are cheaper ones that work just as well, far cheaper than a 2-stage compressor. I use my battery impact a couple times a week now easily !

Well,I do have a decent battery operated impact gun.
while it does a good job for lug nuts and small stuff .
I am pretty sure it does not have enough guts to tackle a bigger job like removing the U bolts from the front axles.
Sorry I do know my air tools. This electric impact is not even close to a good powerful 1/2 in drive air impact wrench...

A bit of good news.
The "Beast" has been setting for way longer than what I really care to admit too..
I jumped into her today.
turned the key.The gauges came to life.
Pushed the gas and she fired right over..
while it does suck to walk past her while I do work on other things around here.
For her to fire right over after setting as long as she has.
Put a huge smile on my face..
