    nice picture Larry,
I really like that dog house cover .
I bet that really keeps the noise and heat in the cab down.

Thanks Wookee, it does help a lot for noise and heat. I had it made way back in '88 when I installed the 292. Note that I have reversed the lid so the higher part is in front (to clear the Weber carb), there's some padding underneath it, the bottom of the doghouse is covered as well.

Like the shot of the scoop, that undercarriage is as clean as I've seen. I had a scoop for a long time by cutting into the center of the pan and bending it down with sheet metal covering the sides. Finally got rid of it cause I kept bending it on curbs and stuff and didn't need it when I put the tunnel in.

Other than the raised ride hiegt. This van is a purest's poster child.
My 1st gen's dog house lid got so hot I could not lay bare leg skin up against it.I had a rolled and pleated cover made for it
even with out the scoop my 2nd gens lid does not get that hot.
There was a very noticable differance in engine temps with the addition of my scoop this summer.
I will be adding an upper tunnel to my dog house also.
