    spark plugs for 230

ok....so....from what I can figure out so far, my '65 is a 230 and needs new plugs.....in doing research, i keep coming across AC46-N or AC44N for an oil cooler (whatever that is).

    Is that correct?

in an aftermarket source page that came with my van, it says Autolight #65 & Champion #N12YC also.

Here's the link to the autolite spark plug for our vans at Autozone

    http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...er=836825_0_0_

Does the van have the points system with the original distributor or does it have an HEI now? The plug above is for stock. It says part number 405 on their store. If it is upgraded to HEI then Just bigger gap on the spark plug for HEI. Don't remember if I got a different set of plugs when I upgraded to HEI. Most likely I had the counter guy look under a 3rd gen van that already had HEI stock and matched up the same type of plugs and wires.

Under any auto store website you choose just type in our vehicle as 1966 Chevy truck and then choose g10van. Once your vehicle is on the page you can type in any part under search "spark plug" and it will only list the appropriate parts for the 1966 g10 van. Different options for spark plugs came up.

    I believe you need Champion RN12YC, that's what Taco's 250 uses.
