    waiting for a trans to be installed and then I want my disk breaks put in as well as maybe a new crate engine. Thinking about taking this one to the Nats next year in lakeland.

    Well, at least you have stuff to do that is proven to be doable. I need to figure out a 6 lug disk brake.

    I don't mind driving with drums, but the front end on the 68 needs an overhaul so no time like now to do it.

    I need the stock auto detents for a 1st gen, and perhaps the shifter rod, if it's longer than the manual rod. Trying to keep the shifter on the tree.

    I have been driving the Beast for 12 years now counting the clicks as I shift from park.
    No Neutral safety switch ether.
    The factory TH350 trans has detents of some sort inside the trans.
    I can feel/hear it click into each gear....
    Its a "van thing". A life style you have to live to understand!!!!
