These 3rd gen vans make very comfortable daily drivers.........

I am itching to do some custom body mods.
    First it has to run.........

That is a very good looking early 3rd gen
      Early 3rd gens
These are the Vettes or Caddys of the van word

My First early 3rd gen got a little bent up.......

A week after the accident I went out and bought my 1st brand new van.

looks great, all of them! back then, for less than $1000 you could buy wheels and tires, spoiler/fender flares a winshield visor and a roof spoiler. you could instantly go from a stocker to a custom in an afternoon.

Being a daily driver van I usually run two different styles of rims

8 inch truck style rallies in the winter

Crager SS's in the summer months

Because the cragers are not in really good shape.I think I am going to run them in the winter this year with the set of "custome fiberglass" flares.pictured
When it snows I stay home. This set up should work out OK........

I've always loved the shorty 3rd gen, I've had one since I was in high school, hope someday to get back to it. Just got to figure out how to make 30 hour days!!!!!!

The tube grill was a 20.00 part a friend of mine found.
I also prefer a shorty. How ever the last one i found the body was really rough

The Twins located this van for me.Because it had the right drive line 350 /700R4 tans/factory A/C.I went ahead and bought it.
While Big Red does have the typical rocker panel rust the upper body is in decent shape.
I hope to do a retro grill conversion on this van.I just like the looks of the Early 3rd gen grills better..
Yes winter flare /summer flares.I have a complete set of hard to find original J+J Flares here waiting for spring time.

these with a set of steel running boards will give the van the illusion of it being lowered

Uncle Ron your daily driver had a good look to it.......
