    Puttin the glass in

    Did the windshield today, thats a task I have been waiting a long time to do. I think I bought that windshield almost 2 years ago.

    Time for a Test Ride.
    Yea the 2nd gen windshields are Fun(Not)
    The rest of the fixed glass is also Fun,getting gaskets cut just right,then getting glass & lock strip in(I got blister on my fingers (JL)

    Cool

    Installing a windshield in one of these Wans was a job I was happy to pay some body to do......
    I broke out is a sweat just watching.........
    Its a "van thing". A life style you have to live to understand!!!!

    You guys are right. My hands and shoulders are sore today but I slept well last night. Two of us about 2.5hrs of shoving and pushing. It was alot of labour.

    Now I have to do the side windows. I think Turbo knows this is also a labour job. I started to try. the new gasket I have looks too hard. It dosn't want to do the 90* cornners without all buckling up.

    Do you put the rubber on first then try to get the glass into it?? Thats what a friend told me but it looks impossible.
    I think once the glass is in the lock strip will be a mustle job but I have the tool and with some lube I can fight that all the way.

    Any recomendations?
