Most of you know Jacke repaired a steering wheel for me filling in all the cracks and broken spots.
I did a little more sanding and sprayed it with a sealer before painting it. (French vanilla) to match van.
I was going to leave it mostly the light color with just the top and bottom darker but decided it would be too bright also I think it would reflect off that flat windshield so I taped the top and bottom off and sprayed it with the Mojave brown I used on the outside.
I also did the license plate frames I had. I'm not very skilled with a brush and the lettering was done by hand.
I also got the licence light cover painted and installed today.1966 Sportvan Deluxe 230 3 on tree (work in progress) Now 283 small block

When I painted the Van I did not do the roof, I was going to have it blasted because it is so big, had some rust and everything needed done on a ladder. Last weekend I decided to strip it down, I put a coat of rust stopper, than 2 days later, taped it off and sprayed sealer, another day and it got primer and paint.
It took longer to tape off the van than to paint.

I was driving home in the rain tonight when my idiot light came on, after a couple minutes I saw my temp guage climbing, I turned the key off and coasted for awhile temp still climbing, I had to re-start the engine and rev it up to get off the freeway still coasting.
Broke a fan belt.
This is exactly why I bought 2 the first time one broke. 10 minutes later I was on my way home. (and not very wet)
The first time I broke one it took me an hour to walk to an auto parts store to buy a belt and a wrench.
Tomorrow I will probably buy 2 more. (just in case)1966 Sportvan Deluxe 230 3 on tree (work in progress) Now 283 small block
