    Cargo door outside handle clip

    I purchased an outside cargo door handle for my '67 and need to know what the appropriate clip is to hold it in place. Anyone have a picture or a link? I'm pretty sure it could be bought from a local parts store.
    Had it for a week now, so I'm a newbie!

    Welcome, Its the same one used on the 68 up chevy inside door handles,you should be able to get it in the Help section at most auto parts places.

    Yeah, its the same horseshoe shaped wire clip used on the door handles, they still sell them on auto stores. Trick to getting it in is to place it in the slot first, without the handle in place, then push the handle in from outside and it should pop the clip open until it snaps in the groove. If you try to snap it in over the groove with the handle in place from the side its much harder to reach. A tiny dab of grease on the handle shaft where it transitions from square end to round shaft also helps. Looks like this:
