    Selling My 1964 Cargo Ebay

Hey fellas, I listed my 1964 on ebay, I have been debating it for a while, and I think its time. With the lil guy I just dont use it as much as I thought I would here in Florida. I have no rear seating to mount a car seat or windows. Im gonnna let Vannibal go then start looking for a first gen Sportvan. I would love to sell the van to a fellow member but realize that most of already have vans. If anyone is interested you can contact me via PM and ill send you my number. and I thought about offering $1100.00 but deleted at last minute. with todays market and vans becoming more valuable, I would think he would see offers over $3k, maybe even get his asking price. its worth twice his offer of $1000.00 to me just for a van that can stay on the road! I am broke, vans too far away and still a far cry from the asking price.

    The Market for Vans

The market is fickle. The dog days of summer may not be the best time to sell. Maybe Craigslist it with your price, wait and ebay again in the spring if you can wait that long. Best wishes Shorty.

Thanks Savage, I may have broke even. Mostly rustfree running and driving (reliably) vans IMHO are scarce. You can find 2k vans, that need 1/2 a years work all day, but ones you can drive home are not as eaily found. This was a great deal IMHO. The problem is that people always want to feel like they got a "deal". God forbid they pay what its worth. If you want 5k you have to list it for 6k so the buyer can feel good about getting a deal. The gentelman I sold it to seems like a hard working guy who wanted a vehicle to put around to flea markets with his wife on the weekends. Sad thing is if i put a "wrap" with a barbarian and a dragon, or a scooby doo theme on it it could have got 10k. As my late friend JJ would say "there only original once" i just didnt have it in me to alter the exterior in any way. Im keeping my eyes peeled for a nice 1st Gen Sportvan Deluxe, completley original, no rust, one owner, I'm looking to spend around $1000 please let me know if anyone finds one
