Busy last two weeks of van work!! wow....

So two weeks ago saturday I sold my jeep and had to start driving the van full time. It really wasn't ready but I started working on it every night and the last two weekends. I only ended up having to ride my bike to work one day and taking a day off to get the radiator fixed. I actually ubered back and forth to the radiator shop, I put the radiator in a box so the uber drivers wouldn't freak out.

This is what I did to it:

Fixed the carb auto choke so it works correctly
Added a stock style air cleaner assembly
    New battery
    New alternator
    New regulator
    New alternator belt
    New starter
Tried to seal up the the valve cover from leaking (I'm on my 3rd attempt right now).
    Mounted up the belly pan
    Replaced the heater core
Fixed a small leak in the radiator (day I missed work).
All new heater and radiator hoses
New rancho 5000x shocks all around (rancho listing for the rear is not correct, I used ones ment for a jeep cj on the rear and moved the rears that were supposed to fit to the front)
Replaced all the felts and channels in the passenger door plus swapped out the vent window assembly.
Added a hanger and tightened up the the exhaust
Pulled the all lock cylinders and brought them to a locksmith and had the fixed/re keyed
Pulled the clutch linkage and had the ends welded up where they were worn (this is the day I had to ride my bike to work carrying the linkage for the welder)
Finished wiring in the new horn button
Took apart the drivers door and tightened up the latch and added bubble wrap to the latch rod.
    Tinted the rear windows
Added eye hooks to the floor so I can carry my dirt bike.
    Washed all the windows
Took the seats out and shampooed them
Glued in the rubber floor because it was falling down

I still have a bunch of small things to still do like add seat belts, gas smell update, chase down rattles, add some sort of stereo, and a bunch of other little things but I feel it is very road worthy now and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.

And as much of how much work it was I really enjoyed working so hard on it and I spent a bunch of time searching on this site for answers and amazingly I was able to find everything I wanted to search for!

Ha! Out here in california the most popular mx class is the 50+ class.

One of the race clubs here (http://www.socalotmx.org/) youngest race class is 40+ and they even have a couple people in the 80+ class.

This clubs youngest class is 30+ http://www.overthehillgang.org/

I'm 56, and gave that stuff up after one too many unscheduled 60mph dismounts.

    These are cell phone pictures,correct?
For then to upload correctly you have to turn you phone side ways and shoot your picture.

I am not sure if there is something smiley can do to change the up load setting for cell phone pictures to load up to this site correctly ...

Ran into Myke yesterday on the 'Ventura Highway', your van is looking good, sorry I didn't recognize you, LOL.
I am also notorious for 'not seeing' people that wave at me!
Be sure to head up to the Deer Lodge or something as an excuse to swing by my place on La Luna to try out the turbo vans.
