    Cool Front Tag Mount

While paying attention to details can be rewarding .It can also be a curse....LOL
One detail I have noticed is the incorrectly mounted front tags.
On 1st and 2nd gen Vans there was a tag bracket that was bolted to the top drivers side of the front bumper.

I currently do not have my front tag mounted at all...
This could be a ticket by our local 5 0 IF the right officer spots me not running one.
The new bumper on the beast still has the mounting holes in place.
I just have not been able to get to the local hardware store to buy the bolts I want to use,(stainless steel) to mount this bracket.
Here are a couple of examples of incorrectly mounted front tags.
If I use a picture of your Van I do not mean this as in insult.

I also relies we vanners like to customize change things on our Vans....
The front tag mount is some thing that is an easy modification to execute.
When Dennis Conko had his 2nd gen repainted and the windows removed he also changed the location of his front tag
Hanging over a Facebook I noticed more examples of incorrectly hung front tags.

    Tag Bracket

I got a hold of a bracket years ago, not needed here in Jawja.
It is NOT up for grabs.

The original / stock placement has always bugged me, even though mine are correctly placed on the original brackets. It just seems to be in the way and partially covering some of the coolest front ends ever designed IMHO. I guess they put them to the side for cooling reasons and on top of the bumper because people with trucks used to push other vehicles with the bumpers back in the day, and that would smash your license plate.

I like the placement of the last van, the white one. Seems to match what all other vehicles have - in the center and below the grill. I want to move mine there but don't want to drill holes in the stock bumpers, especially my chrome Deluxe bumper.

I like the stock location on my 65. I've cut the center out of the front bumper for a lot more cooling so couldn't mount it anywhere else than stock.

I have an original front bumper that had the deluxe bumper guards. It has the holes in it for mounting the bumper guards and it is clear they could not have left the tag bracket in the common location. this bumper has holes in it to remount the tag bracket right in the top middle in front of the grill opening.

    just an observation.
