    How To Repair..

I know lots of "How To" posts have been done by many other members. It's really good for those new guys who are trying to do some of this stuff themselves or just to get a few hints if they already know their way around a VCV. My question for fellow members is: Which "How To" instructables are missing? Which ones have been overlooked or need updating?
    Any ideas?

"how to" pay for everything? next would be "how to" find the time to install the parts after paying.

How about a list of all the items and changes needed to do a first gen V8 swap, using as many "stock" parts as possible?

Unfortunately, I have not done one of those. I would guess the parts list would start with a 2nd gen doghouse, crossflow radiator, overflow tank, fan shroud and while not required, it would be highly recommended to have a sway bar.

I will do that with pictures, but ya'll have to wait until I get home from deployment

I already pulled the 194 L6 and sold it out of the Red Baron. Just waiting for the v8 swap, and I've got all the parts stashed already.

The good thing about this site, is the treads never vanish after a certain period of time like other web page sites do....
They do drop down the page and pages back.If there is no more action on that particular thread.
Using the search engine will bring these threads up to view.

What topics in a"how to" thread would be handy for other members here to use?

I have all ways used the In The Dog House section of our forums as the place to go to ask mechanical questions about our vans.
Its a "van thing". A life style you have to live to understand!!!!

Which "How to" instruction is missing?

I'm not a mechanic and i wasn't around cars when i was a kid but i enjoy vanning just as much as you guys.
I always wish i can do some of the mechanical work you guys do but the confidence is not always there.

I think a general mechanic etiquette, safety 101 and garage workspace setup/organization will help me.
Maybe even a general set of tools and useful things to have in the garage to help maintain our vans.

I know some of you have a professional workshop in the garage but i think there might be a few like me that have all his tools in a bucket. The #1 thing that bugs me the most is looking for missing sockets. The 1/2" socket is always missing and i spent more time looking for things like that than working on the van.

So, if there's a thread about this subject, I'd be all over it.

The only way my shop would look like that is if I never built anything

I photo documented my 2 piece dog house conversion......
the pictures where lost when MSN shut the VCVC II site down.

This is where we as a club should be able to pull together and photo document our projects.
The newer smart phones take great pictures...
what type of pictures or "How To"s would the members here like to see laid out out...
