    Oh, really?

The other day a young guy pulled up next to TacoVan and yelled, 'Sweet van! It's gonna be nice when you get it finished!'
And I'm thinking, 'Dude, I thought it was finished' LOL

    How true!

You hit the nail on the head there! Curious what was he driving? Some credit is given that he noticed a cool old van and was not on his phone, LMAO👍 Nowadays it seems you add a power adder on any given car and itís a sleeper. More fun for us older guys that drive away from the unexpected owners of those cars smoking our tires😊

    Cool

    .."Finished"...
Can be such an opened ended word.
Unlike cars which can easily fall into a finished state of being.
Vans just all ways seam to have some thing that can be changed and or improved on.
The cool thing is our Vans can draw as much attention. In primer as they can in in paint.
Lots of the younger people really do not know what they actually are.
All part of the fun, owning and driving and Early van...

Its a "van thing". A life style you have to live to understand!!!!

My 83 runs 50/50 on comments, half are 'Don't change a thing!' and the other half are 'What are you going to paint on it?'

I got my van on the lift in my shop & have 2 visitors look at it and say it's cool VW & they're not young.
Somehow they missed the Chevy emblem on the front. It seems some can't see very good to miss the emblem. I just told them they better look again.

I've had a couple of people think my Chevy is a VW too. I removed the bumpers on mine, which gives it a little bit more of a round look. I think this is part of what causes the confusion...and the fact that people don't really pay much attention. A number of people are dumbfounded that it's a Chevy and has a V8 in it. Even older guys, who I would have thought would remember these old vans.

Sure is hard to remain civil when they use the v-dub word.
