I need exhaust manifold for 283?

I found my exhaust manifold on the drivers side has a crack in it, I would like to replace it.

I have SBC exhaust manifolds, BUT, not that style. I have a couple sets of ram horn style. If Im not mistaken, that style you have are from early to mid 70s.

I may actually have a replacement for you, or something close. I will check my stash when I get home over the weekend.

Thanks Kooky. These came with the engine I bought, They are late '60s or early '70s mostly cars,(camaro, chevelle, etc.) without the holes for a smog pump set up.

I have a friend who says he can weld it? Another friend says welding it won't last? If I can just replace it with the same kind would be the easiest and fastest way. I found a few on CL but more than 100 miles away and may be close but not the same? I will probably take it off tomorrow and let my friend weld it and keep looking for another.

Make sure your friend preps the cast metal for a partial joint weld and uses nirod or you will have no chance in the weld holding up...JM2C
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space..JM2C...hehehe

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/r...make/chevrolet will this work? smit has several that appear similar for under $70.00. free shipping over $100.00 so find something else you need. if nothing else, oil and filters. I wuld not weld the cracked one. not only will it likely crack again but it may warp/distort and not fit.
