    Mirror Part

It's possible that the dealer just installed what they had available. I like that pic of the mirror parts from the Fordification site but can't seem to bring that page up on my confuser. Can anyone help me out on that?

My '66 doesn't have 3 or 4 screws at the bottom? Maybe because of the Deluxe trim?
I noticed Lucky Chucky's Van used in this month's calendar shot has the same mirror mounts as mine. '66 Deluxe.

    Savage -
I see that the parts vendor on the post earlier also calls them Western JR (see the real tiny text).

Sport van deluxe verses three holes

You can't use the three hole bracket with deluxe trim that is where 4 hole above the trim mount comes in. I think any sport van deluxe front doors will not have the three holes in the door ????

    Side Mirrors

The three hole bracket comment is the same thoughts Russel had in post #18 - makes sense.

Just part of the discussion -I did notice that the mirror type or configuration shown in post #18 looks like what the Corvair guys called Rampside side mirrors. I would suspect they are the same.

When I bought this '65, it had the "Western Jr" mirrors installed. If you zoom in, you can see where the holes are for the regular "Western" mirror. You can also see the three holes that were for the original factory mirrors (I guess??).

I have patched up all of the holes except for the ones for the "Western Jr" mirrors. My plan was to buy some shiny new ones. Turns out they are not in stock ANYWHERE. I will keep looking, but since there are stainless steel, I will likely just polish up the ones that came with the van.
