I have a new wiring harness and I'm planning to do new wiring. Just now I'm trying to get the lights and brakes working so I can get the van licenced and insured.
Switch is likely shot. Pull it out of the dash and have a look, make sure the connector isn't melted.

You can check to see if its the switch by pulling the terminal and using a jumper wire to bypass the headlight switch. If the switch is faulty, they sell the headlight switch at Orielly's, and its not very expensive.

Replacing the entire wiring on the whole van is a huge PITA, just for a light switch that didn't work lol

Wires are so bad that is is necessary to do all the wiring. For now I'm just hoping that replacing both light switches will solve my problem temporary.
Ordered both from Rockauto because it's the only place, what delivers to Finland with decent price.
