Youre going to have to remove some material to make them fit correctly.
could you grind the heads off of the bushings?

...was thinking that if I sanded off the top the bushing would still be in the bore but the knuckle would fit correctly.
If you were to remove too much material it would fit as sloppy as it did before.

What Rd said. I've usually at least had to file burrs off and a couple times a light touch with a grinder.

My questiom is, isnít that should the reason for the bushing, to keep the two sections of the hinge from wearing away at each other?

It depends on how long they were used while worn out or had bolts pounded through them. I've redone several vans worth of them. Some only require a minimum of filing . Some none. Others where p.o. tried squeezing them even. Really varies with conditions.

Ok, I'm looking for the Chrysler pin #675-5141 and can't find them at Rock auto and when I go to Napa Online the pin crosses to a #675-5151. It has two pins in the kit too. Not sure if this is going to work. Anyone else have a link to a Chrysler pin #675-5141 kit?
