Mazel Tov!
Put a seat in the back. Make it like the removable ones in those "mini" vans.
Then when camping just pull it out when you get where youre going.
Anchor that baby down.

Here's what it looks like before the subfloor.
The original seat mount is still there. Does anybody have pic of what goes into the seat mount?
I have a bench seat(without mount), i just have to figure out a way to get a long bolt to go thru my subfloor (3") to that mount.
It looks like i would have to just cut 4 holes in my rug. I can live with that.
I'm thinking about installing the bench seat closest to the front, that way my wife can reach the baby from the passenger seat.
Or do you recommend installing the bench seat all the way to the rear. That way, the middle is still open for sleeping.

If you drill and tap some 3" square plates and weld them to the bottom of the floor, you can remove the seat easily with four bolts. I would put the seat in the center of the van for convenience and a smoother ride for anyone sitting in it.

Similar, the plate would be welded under the stock location, if you make the plate the width of the floor rib it can slide under the stock location. The purpose of a plate is to spread the load, a nut could pull through that keyhole slot in an accident. I had no stock mounting holes so I drilled though the floor and put the plates underneath.

The perfect camping setup. Its in Orange co. and only $70
or, even cheaper, 2nd row seat from a safari. $30
I like the idea of middle row minivan seat because they are not as wide and don't take up all the interior space in your van.

You could also do a fold-down seat like this, it mounts to the wall so it folds up for camping. Pricey, but maybe?
