I have missed the last few National Van Events.
I do have this one penciled into my calendar.
I did the I95 North trip a couple of times.
I am looking into a little more indirect route up to this event.
Route 81 north then head east after I cross over into New York state.
This route will eliminate all of the tolls on I95 the Jersey Turnpike, the NY Tunnel.
This will also be the first National event I will attend with out the "Beast".
I will be driving my late model,89 GMC "Big Red"...
looking forwards to seeing all of our members both new & old at this Van Event.......Its a "van thing". A life style you have to live to understand!!!!

Camper van question
Ok so I would love to meet you all, and this is so close. However some medical setbacks will prevent me from finishing my van in time. Some have said it's ok to rent a van and come anyway. I have looked into a CAMPER van (24' Sprinter with camper interior) Before I drop $1,500 on a week rental is this an acceptable option?

Sounds crazy, however there is a fine line on what is able to get through the gates.Van camper wise.
While the box truck style camper with a Van front end Camper rear section has not been able to attend.(old rules)
A camper van with every thing with in the original Vans body lines are OK..Its a "van thing". A life style you have to live to understand!!!!

van?
Sprinter is really not my taste in a van and she is a little long I know but it's a local rental. and if I can't bring my 65 gmc why not go in comfort.Originally posted by Wookee View PostSounds crazy, however there is a fine line on what is able to get through the gates.Van camper wise.

rental
Hi Buddy
Hope all is well.
Suggest you go to the Nats web site and there is contact info. Call or email to get a definite determination. Be sure to get name of responder and hardcopy of the decision in case it is a problem at the gate.
If not acceptable maybe a u-haul van and a small camping trailer.Primer Donah 1964 Chevy No Door
