    Thanks
    There will definitely be power.

cool. I’ll be sure to bring some cords and splitters. Crispy is that the same orange van in your profile pic that you just picked up before the 2014 nats?

      thanks

Let me know if you need another driver....I can do that instead of flying there.

I have missed the last few National Van Events.
I do have this one penciled into my calendar.
I did the I95 North trip a couple of times.
I am looking into a little more indirect route up to this event.
Route 81 north then head east after I cross over into New York state.
This route will eliminate all of the tolls on I95 the Jersey Turnpike, the NY Tunnel.
This will also be the first National event I will attend with out the "Beast".
I will be driving my late model,89 GMC "Big Red"...
looking forwards to seeing all of our members both new & old at this Van Event.......
Its a "van thing". A life style you have to live to understand!!!!

                  Camper van question

Ok so I would love to meet you all, and this is so close. However some medical setbacks will prevent me from finishing my van in time. Some have said it's ok to rent a van and come anyway. I have looked into a CAMPER van (24' Sprinter with camper interior) Before I drop $1,500 on a week rental is this an acceptable option?

Sounds crazy, however there is a fine line on what is able to get through the gates.Van camper wise.
While the box truck style camper with a Van front end Camper rear section has not been able to attend.(old rules)
A camper van with every thing with in the original Vans body lines are OK..

                      van?

Sprinter is really not my taste in a van and she is a little long I know but it's a local rental. and if I can't bring my 65 gmc why not go in comfort. Click image for larger version

                        rental

                        Hi Buddy
                        Hope all is well.
Suggest you go to the Nats web site and there is contact info. Call or email to get a definite determination. Be sure to get name of responder and hardcopy of the decision in case it is a problem at the gate.
If not acceptable maybe a u-haul van and a small camping trailer.

                          Trip to NATS 2019

I am interested in going to NATS 2019. This will be my first large event since restoration. Interested in maybe, as a group from Maine New Hampshire, driving down together.

I know of a few from NH and Maine who will be heading down. I'll ask what day they are leaving.

If it's titled as a van, it can come in. What it s make and model on that? I'll find out.

Meet us at Bonny Eagle again this year (May 19th), and let’s make a plan with Mike and Melissa. My van should be done by then and then I’ll have 2 months to work out kinks and prep it for the Nats trip.
