This guy is using a pic of my wiki-van in his ad.. lol.

I texted him politely letting him know that was my van, did not challenge him or anything, and he cursed me out. Extremely hostile to me for seemingly no reason. Not really the way to sell anything.

Good luck to anyone who tries to deal with this hot-head.

That's really too bad for me. I live about 12 miles from there...the price is right...but don't like the windows or the attitude of the owner. Wah!

Dude must have been drunk and sounds like Brian really got him all spun up! At least he blocked out part of your tag number - or did you do that before posting it years ago?

Might be worth dealing with that guy to get that for $2,000.00. Just show up with a cold six pack to share on the test drive. And a big friend.

The pic was actually up on wikipedia before I bought the van. The old guy pictured in the driver's seat passed away. I purchased it from the old guy's estate. It was not running, and his daughter and son-in-law had no clue about these old vans. I had no idea it was featured on wikipedia until I started searching for photos of old vans on the internet,, and suddenly, there was my van! With the same license plate number and everything!! (half of the numbers were obscured like that already in the pic) Anyway, pretty cool story and history.

Thanks 108VanGuy. Really excited to be here. Gonna retire in January and want to find my 'retirement project' before I get there. See a lot of these puppies are back East or so. Makes it hard to get to. Oh well, sooner or later something will show up in my neck-of-the-woods again, something I can afford. I'll be a watchin!
