    Bell Utility Green

Iíve been searching for any pics of earlies with the Bell Telephone green and graphics, for reference. The few pics Iíve found online are of an early Ford. Itís been restored and the green looks to be a little different. Iíve read that the Dodge version of this green was a little darker than the Ford or GM ďBell GreenĒ. Understandably, my van is 53 years faded, but it still looks to have been a different tone of green when it was fresh.

I bought some paint locally (store brand because it was cheaper).

In my wheel well I flaked off some of the under coating to expose some "fresh paint". I sprayed the new paint adjacent to the exposed paint - it was a perfect match...

FYI - I contacted Bell Telephone historical - they did not have any color photos just a black & white (maybe that is your van!)
Note I have a .jpg of the 1964-->1969 Bell logo.

Funny, I have the same photo as your post; the guy standing in front of the van. I pinged the guys on VintAge vans - they shared it was a 1962. That correlates because the Bell Telephone door sticker is pre 1964.

I grew up in Southwestern Bell territory and always think of this lighter shade of green.

Thank you, Gary! I checked my trim tag at lunch today. Itís a match. Iím going to get mine repainted in the same green. Seems wrong to paint it anything different. Thank you for the photos, too! I want to replicate the logos as well.

Thank you. Yes, keeping the Mickeys and slots. Also adding chrome bumpers and headlight rings.

I am planning to have some logos make at a local graphics place - I can have them double up on the order if I get to it before you.
Here is the logo - used from 1964-1969 (The 1964 is not part of it)
