    Cool Comming Back Out...

When I came back to vanning at the 33rd Nationals. Remember telling Mary as we rolled up to the gate.I was interested in making this a yearly tradition.Mary's answer was Lets see how things go...
I was all ways happy with what we where able to do.The event turned into our Summer Vacation Road Trip.
The "Beast" did a good job performing her over the road duties.
I had to replace a header gasket On the way home from the 34th Nationals.
The stainless hardware I mounted my Hookers with backed out.Having dealt with frozen exhaust manifold bolts in the past. Applying lock tight to those brand new bolts was not an option for me.
Picked up a new gasket set on the way out of town.Got up in the morning and replaced the passenger side gasket...Drove her home a little harder than I normally would of..She performed flawlessly.
The van all ways drove well. The limited slip 3:08 one leggier rear played very nice with the "Crate"350.A resealed factory TH350 trans with a shift kit.Radial tires on all four corners mounted on GM Rallies..The "Beast" would let me know when she did not like when I pushed her too hard..We where all ways able to come to a happy medium. She all ways made it home..
The really cool thing about her was she was welcome any where we rolled into.
Now I want to up date her drive line.I have a good 4 speed auto setting here in the yard & a factory Camaro 4 link suspension rear with a 3:43 gear ratio. As soon as this rear end set up hits the ground I will pretty muck know what fab work it will take to install it into the "Beast"..Pretty sure it will be my last major build..I am rolling the dice on weather I can finish a job of this magnitude..4 link rear conversion along with a disk brake swap in the front with a new king pinned front axle.It will be a rebuild I never really had to do to this Van.
Big Red will take her place for at least this summers driving / Van Season.

    Cool

    Thank you for the complement,Josie..
I am very happy with how both vans turned out appearance wise.
Keeping the whole fleet running and driving correctly,Is my next big challenge.
How ever not paying a pro shop to do needed work is also a bonus.
