    That is the Yuma Van

    I think you called it correctly. They seem to be handicap bars but there was not much history on it. They had also installed an 8 Lug rear axle!

    Struggled

    On I-8 over the 4000' summit it was 2nd gear for miles. That's another reason I wanted to get it done during the low traffic hours. That was actually easy going compared with the 80 mph traffic on I-5 blowing past me at 2 am in LA and the small bridge transitions where the road takes a sudden dip. That was further north on I-5. That's the spots where it got real interesting. That Ranger has hauled a few VCVs for me and never let me down.

    That is one hard working little truck Mark!! Does that ranger have the v6 or is it the 4 cyl?

    I've had several friends who owned rangers, and they were always really good trucks that seemed to last.

    Back in the 80ís my brother in law had a Ranger 4x4 with a 4 cylinder and it was useless but his looks newer .
