    Cool

No matter whether G10 Guy is a legitimate buyer or not.
This Sport van Delux has a lot of her original interior parts still in her

There are also a lot of missing interior parts...

thanks so much guys for all your help. G10guy
get the body style you want in the best condition you can afford. a second gen will never be a first, window will never be a panel but an engine is easy. while I regret not buying a 'better' van, my van is exactly what I wanted. if you want a sport van, you will forever regret buying a panel. $10k gets you what you want, $2k gets you the right van needing work. if you went to the bar to get a 'date', the one you want is out of your league. all that is available is a woman in less than perfect shape and a dude in top physical condition, which one would you pick?

    Parts

    Both chrome bumpers
    Both rear seats
    Dash pad
    Tail light bezels

Thats worth the $1,800 right there. You're pretty much getting the van itself for free. those parts are ALL extremely hard to come by, If you even know a Vanner that would be willing to even let them go. Don't wait on this one. Id buy it if it were closer

And at a steal price. Even if you bought a crate engine you are paying less overall. Although a used 230/250 six is perfect. Buy it now ask questions later. I'm just seeing a deal and wishing I had the space for that van. It's not going to last. Start by making the call.
    Yeah, what he said.

I would jump on this if I didn't have too much to do already.

Those seats will be worth gold to someone wanting to restore a Deluxe. VW middle seats are going for $2000 and up for a bare frame.

If I had room for them I would put them in my garage or shop and use them for friends or? to sit on, in a couple of years they could be sold for the price of the Van.

I would gladly trade a pair of new headlights for 1 seat?

Weird it does not have back-up lights, and those squares don't look big enough to be patches. No body trim but I could live without that. This is the kind of van that makes me wish I lived out in the country with a barn and a field so I could be a Van Hoarder.

G10Guy I don't know if you're trolling us and I don't mean to be rude but you are having a hard time pulling the trigger on anything. Maybe you just have little to no experience with old cars, and no place to work on them. And limited funds. So you are nervous and that is understandable. I was the same way when I got my first van, I hadn't had an old truck since I was a teenager (like a 100 years ago). You gotta just jump in the pool. This van is super cool even if all you do is wash it and tow it to car shows with no engine. And it will take forever to find "the perfect van" for your situation in Montana I am guessing. You'll have to travel and buy a driver, or have a truck and trailer to bring home a project. Or worse yet, buy sight unseen and pay a shipper....

    Buried in Other Vans

I'm committed to getting Freaky's Van done. We're doing an OD install with hanger mount and OD wiring, clutch and leaf springs. I've also got the 65 HandiBus Custom waiting patiently for attention. Those missing trim pieces are a problem for me. I've been looking for a set for Vanitti for some time now. They are a tough item. There's definitely some desirable parts there but I'd hate to part and chop that Deluxe.
