    Interesting

Lots of extra parts including an overdrive transmission, not bad. We are in the process of installing an OD in Freaky's 66. Should have a thread on it in a week or so. I'm not on Facebook so I can't see all the pics.

This is the info he posted:

Up for sale is my 1965 Sportvan Custom. I love this old girl and she's given me some great memories but I simply don't have the time to take her to where she needs to be. The van was originally rescued from a scrapyard in Salt Lake City and shipped to San Diego. PO performed a bunch of work to get her into a reliably-running condition (build thread here: http://vintage-vans.forumotion.com/t...portvan-custom), then she was bought by me. Since then I've put a few thousand dollars and a few thousand miles into her.

    THE GOOD:

Original inline 230 was swapped out for a 250, approximately 45k miles on a rebuild. I swapped out the original Carter 1bbl for a Weber 32/36 progressive 2bbl carb - fires right up every time and is much less susceptible to heat soak.

    Aluminium radiator swapped in

Original gas tank replaced with custom fabbed tank

Transmission serviced and spider gears replaced ~2k miles ago

Powder coated rallys with center caps, though the caps could use a freshening up

    Clean title

    THE BAD

Exhaust manifold is cracked - I'll include both a stock manifold replacement and a set of stovebolt shorty headers, your choice as to where you want to go with that.

Exhaust needs to be replaced as well; wrecking yard crushed the pipes a bit with their forklift

Step is present, but chain connected to side door is not present. It's being held up in place with a bit of sheet metal

Rust is present and is worst in the rockers - I have full replacement rockers from a donor van I can include for full asking price

Nose is dented at the grille - I have a replacement nose available

One of the back doors is dented - Again, a replacement can be included

Kingpins need replacement - I can include replacements w/ brass bushings

Shifter has a bit of slop, it'll need some bushing and shifter guide replacement

Bumpers not installed, but I have a set I can include

Lots of smaller stuff consistent with a vehicle of this age

    Parts included:

    - Replacement transmission w/ Borg Warner R10 OD

    - Metal parts from donor van - Nose, rockers, wheel wells, roll pan

    - Kingpins w/ brass bushings

    - Stock manifold AND Stovebolt headers

    - 2 sets of bumpers

    - Replacement doors, I have a few so take as many as you need

    - Full set of new window gaskets and weatherstrip

    - Belly pan + wings

I'm looking for $6000 for the van + parts

Willing to entertain offers for just the van without extra stuff.

    Additional photos available on request

G10 guy needs to stop sitting on his hands. $6k with all the extra parts is not bad. Yes it has rust, but at least you can see all of it, no one has mudded it up and 'rat rodded' it with satin black so you have a good idea what you will be getting.

Even if you find a better van later, I doubt you could lose on this one. It needs work, but it is complete, and that is worth it just to avoid the hassle of chasing down parts.

I have a buyer for most of the spare metal parts, but I'll definitely include a patch for the damaged part of the nose.

to fix that nose right, you need a good body guy to cut the spot welds, remove the nose, repair the metal, then re-install it.

Hey guys, she's still for sale. I've been selling off parts so the price has been lowered to $5k (unfortunately the nose had to go too). At this point the replacement exhaust manifold and belly pan + wings are included. Also it turns out the OD transmission isn't correct for our vans so that won't be included unless you want to make the necessary modifications.
