    PCV and breather hose.

So, set the carb up again yesterday after fitting stock air filter. Runs beautifully, timing advanced by 10 and idling just over 800 rpm. Went out for a cruise and gave it the beans and smiled the whole time!! However i noticed the breather hose from the PCV collapsing on the odd occasion. Im hoping that its just cos its a soft compound hose. So, is it possible to change for an elbow off the PCV to a more rigid hose, I assume that's ok, or even pipe work?

A collapsed PCV hose is typical of a worn hose. I would replace that hose with a PCV rated hose and probably replace the PCV valve also. After that you could go out and "give it the beans" once again. :>)

    PCV Hose

If you want to get a new molded (90 end) PCV hose, eBay has a couple; search on 3981058

Here is the cheapest one I saw:

Fitted new hose, PCV valve and vented oil filer cap. Cheap fix, even more smiles per miles when giving it the beans..
