    '65 Instrament Panel - finish?

    Hi Gang,

I want to restore my instrument panel (frame) back to original finish if possible. The thing is I don't know what it used looked like.
So any of three elements I would could use feed back on.

    What was the finish?
Recommendation to achieve the original finish?
Maybe a nice picture of a unit not deteriorated.

    Thank-you

All of the ones I've seen have a satin silver finish.

I hoarded a few when redoing my gauges, had them apart and all appear as if they never had any paint. I had assumed the original was bare. you could sand it down or even take it a step farther and polish but cant say with certainty what is correct.
