    cant find this part

Is this part that's on the top of the shifter that holds the top of the rod available anywhere? Not even sure what it is called. It's a cast part and I can't seem to find one.

    Thanks,
    Lyle.

That one isn't easy to find. They take a lot of stress, so they aren't easy to fix, either. Someone's bound to have one in their stash.

          Tough item

We have tried to repop this item but the cost was too high. Even an improved recast version would have required additional work to install the steel center section that is staked inside the pot metal outer piece. This would require donor pieces from broken units. I believe these fail, in part, from too much stress placed on them during shifting so other linkage issues can contribute to this failure. I also believe this was a poorly designed part. I have been trying different ways to repair them, so far with limited success.

            We tried

The costs to make some samples to try was crazy! Then making 100 parts was again pricey.
Whats it worth? Throw me a price you would pay if the item was available.
Ill let you know if youre close...

Heres the 3d printed ones. See? We tried...

So do you have a file .IGS or a model file that we could machine from? Could maybe machine a few from steel? then get plated.
