    Fuel gauge rebuilder

Still working on my fuel gauge and belive I need to have my gauge rebuilt/ repaired. Have new sending unit in the new tank and with ohm meter getting a 30 ohm reading. I can actually getting to fluctuate by rocking the van a bit. When testing the gauge a ground will bring down past empty but sending unit wire won't bring it up. I'm sure 50+ years has taken a toll and would like to send to some one to have it repaired..
    Anyone done this ?

When I did mine I bought a new sender for a Nova or ? with the 0-30 ohm, I took the old sender off the pick up tube leaving the mounting plate and attached the new sender to the old pick up tube by soldering the new backing plate to the old backing plate, then bending the arm slightly to match the old sender. I have done this with 2 vans and they work well.

looks great but my issue is the gauge itself. My sending unit is brand new from Vans Auto and tests fine. just need to have my gauge rebuilt

I have a spare first gen fuel gauge that I will sell. I'll test it in my own van, and guarantee it to work or money back.
