    Hole in doghouse

    Cruzbox,
what’s the square hole in the doghouse near the back? Just curious. I’ll be doing the sectioning and removable doghouse project soon, and wondering what i need to consider. Also, doing new wiring and wondering if/where you are bringing wires through the doghouse.
    thanks,
    ry

On mine that hole is how I check the oil on my V-8. I cut one in when I replaced my 1st Gen doghouse. Put a gas door off a truck on it as a door...
    But, I am just guessing?

    You guest it!

Spot on Jacke, i'm running taller valve covers and did a cut out and welded in new stop edges on the dog house and used the cut out piece for the door with the addition of a hinge and a 1/4"-20 nut(threads for a screw) welded in place , also I added a couple of "domes" for the PVC and breather/ vent for clearance. you can see the door in the parts that are hanging.
