    Hi all!

I'm Bruce, new here but old everywhere else.
I just got my hands on a '69 G10 shorty. 50 years old and needing TLC, not hardly my first van but certainly the oldest. You might find me familiar as I'm on both the astro/safari sites.
I'm looking for info and parts so you'll find me lurking around.
    thanks for having me.

Lol! you'd think I was a newb or something,,,, When I posted here I thought I had this with the attachments,

"I'm Bruce, new here but old everywhere else.

Different software than what I'm used to, anyhoo, I just picked up this little van. The pics are from the craigslist add. I got a handful of parts with it but I'll need more.
I got a '65 parts van with it so my first job is to get that home and get out the plasma, I'll harvest everything I can whether it is of use to me or not and sweep the rest into the trash barrel.
    She's a runner w/ a rebuilt straight six, 3 on the tree.
I'll gut the interior and start w/ good seats. I had one from one of my astro that is already in the drivers spot so I can roll around town and familiarize myself with her.
The trip home was an hour ride at night that took me 90 minutes, I'll never complain about the sloppy steering or bad brakes in my safari again.
The steering is not bad nor the brakes, just me being used to power everything and an automatic that I was a bit lost. Well, the driver's seat wasn't attached so that added to my anxiety but I've taken care of that item already.

It was painted a few years back, over poor bodywork so I need as much of the '65 as I can get. Is there anyplace that sells body parts or am I on my own for this?

I added no more pics but a paragraph or two in my second post, no text but the first line posts. My first post had the three pics and a paragraph about me.

I used a quote from the first post but that was copy and paste from vanning.com. Maybe new posts need approval?

The original post was copied and pasted from another source. When it’s pasted here, it will show up as black on black background because the ‘copy’ will also dictate the color. Anytime you copy and paste into a post, select all the new text, click the A in the toolbar and select “automatic”. It will allow the text to show up as white on the standard background and will change it to black, for those viewing with a white background.

    I apologize for the confusion.

Yes you can get body panels, not real cheep (as they were 15 years ago) Mills supply has them, and you could get some off Epay.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy to step back in time w/ this little truck.
I'm probably looking for all four corners, sorry, brainfart, front and rear "rollpan"?
I'm not sure what to search for. I'll try Mills and see what I can find, thanks Savage.

Burce, If you asking about the panels behind the front & rear bumpers. Nobody makes a repair panel (Yet)
Back could be made from part of a rocker panel. Front middle close to same. outside corers are a pain front or rear.
At one time mills supply sold rear corners at 190 ++ ea (when I did my 64 they were $89+) last time I looked they weren't any listed
Guess were lucky we can get any???

I found the rear corners, 30" tall that goes up around the tail lights but still need to find the front corner, just the bottom radius would do.

Found them on ebay, 200 each. I wonder if the radius is similar to the front?.

I made my own rockers and used the extra to make the front panel behind the bumper. I took these pics with my phone and haven't figured out how to turn them the right way, maybe someone can turn them.

Yep rc, I've got that section to work too. There is cracked bondo and aluminum flashing hanging there on mine.

What I hope to do is gather all the repair panels I think I'll need then start one bite at a time. I'm not a tin knocker by any means but have played around a little. I'm not after perfection or show quality, just immortality...

Not too much to ask, right?
    LOL!
