    1965 PCV system fitting???

    Hey gang
On the '65 230 engine I picked up, there is a "weird" fitting into the intake manifold - adjacent to the carburetor base. The PCV hose was routed to it. Is this a home made deal or a factory item I never saw? Anyone else have one???

    1965 PCV hose intake fitting

Well I know it is weird but I now know it is an OEM installed part. I have nine original engine shots with the "fitting" (valve) installed. I cleaned mine off and lo & behold it is marked with a GM P/N 7025095- see photos.

    Note: P/N 7025095 replaced by 7015110

Best detail I have right now is that the valve was used about 40% the way through the 1965 van production. Unknown time after VIN 116604, the valves were not installed. Later 1965 engines went to the intake fitting on the inboard side of the carb.
