Just another reason we love old vans

Took off bright and early yesterday morning for a 150 mile round trip to the city to get some ESSENTIALS when I noticed the charge light come on. I was near an Auto Parts Store and had my tools with me so I took out the Alternator, had them test it and it was shot. Figured might as well upgrade to one that was internally regulated. Installed it , did some simple re wiring, threw the old regulator out , made sure I left no tools in the parking lot and was on my way.
Ha, felt like a hero there for a bit. Try that on an Audi..........

It is nice knowing you can likely fixed most common issues yourself, away from the house.

    Nice work.
