    Old school power...

Hello again... I've decided to replace my original 250 with an original 1969 350 V8 block. Just starting to dismantle, so I can take the block to be machined. I would really love to build this with performance parts available back then and mate it with a M20 transmission. Any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Here's some pictures of the tear down.

How has the 3/tree holding up? Motor looks great. What heads did you use and what exhaust manifold is that? Any idea of your HP/TQ? Sorry for all the questions. : D I'm really looking for good low rpm torque.

Wow! 4-bolt main block with some interesting(!) pistons. That could be a serious motor.

An M20, or any 4 speed, in our vans requires some creativity to add linkage to support the additional gear.

Yep, you have to think backwards. When I built the pulley accellerator linkage system had to constantly remind myself it pulls the other way (btw-it works so smooth its dangerous with the 292). Therefore, I think us vanners are smarter than the average normie who has to deal with their engine a long ways away out in front of them.

3 speed works well. exhaust manifolds are '60's style stock Chevy.
