    Visit To Finn's Restoration.

    During my recent VCVanner Parts Express run in the PNW, I was invited to visit a restoration shop in Woodburn Oregon. The owner gave me a tour and I was quite impressed.

    About a half dozen workers happily restoring cars that I'll probably never even get to drive, no less own.

    It's pretty hard to know what all those vehicles are from that pic, so here's the list of what they had in the shop.
    Corvettes
    1967 400 hp Tri Power
    1968, 1967, 1957 and one of only 4 made 1954 painted black.
    67 Firebird, 67 Mercedes, 69 El Camino, 69 Chevelle, 2 each 74 Panteras and a 72 and 73, 55 and 57 T Birds, 73 Pantera, 49 Plymouth Bus Coup, 79 Bronco(!?!), 55 Ford F-100, 50 Austin, 62 356 Cabriolet Porsche, 69 and 78 Camaro and last but not least, a 1954 Arnold Bristol Deluxe. A total of 100 were made and after restoration could easily fetch up to $1,000,000.00. Woof! I met the guy off of Craigslist so that I could buy a 292 core and an R10Q-1. When he invited me to check out his shop, I was thinking he had a converted barn in the backwoods. No! Not the case.

ID:	43859 This is the 1950 Austin that came in the shop as a 4 door and will leave as a 2 door. you can see where they added 18" to the door. The Tig welding and sheet metal fabrication they do here is the best I've ever seen.
    Here's the six Cylinder Tri-Power Corvette engine ready to go into the 1967 Corvette. Full rebuild of that car from the ground up.

    This coolant reservoir fits nicely into the passenger side corner of this car and looks completely original.

    There was only one vehicle that I couldn't take pictures of. You can see it in the pano. It's the only one covered. Let's just say it's an updated version of a Camaro, longer, lower, engine front, transmission rear, tubbed, 600 HP+ per dyno runs.
    Here I was expecting a farmer's barn shop. Not so. Awesome doesn't really cover it. What a privilege to get atour, wish you were there.
