HI,
Does anyone know where I can get a set of king pins with brass bushings instead of nylon for my '69?
Thanks!
HI,
Does anyone know where I can get a set of king pins with brass bushings instead of nylon for my '69?
Thanks!
I bought my brass set from "Rare Parts"
P/N RP30418 details:
Brass Bushings-
Length: 1.260", OD: 0.940"
Pin- Ø 0.816" x 5.389" L
Thickness: 0.532", Width Of Keyway: 0.458
FYI here is my list of pins
King Pin Set GM 3854004: M-2314, Dayton 300-169, GM 3928439, Moog 8494B, Moog 8494N, Flagg FKP41B, Flagg FKP41N, TRW K502, TRW K502B, KA251, KA251T.
Looks like the "B" suffix is for brass i.e.
AFFINIA KA318 (Brass)
Moog 8494B (Brass)
Flagg FKP41B
TRW K502B
64-70 same parts
FYI - I bought a 15/16" hand reamer to get the brass bushings to have proper fit.

Thanks, Gary!
Got them installed - thanks!
Did you install them or have them done? If you had them done, how much did it cost?

I paid $500 in 2008. Adjusting for whatever...a thou sounds about right.
ALWAYS ask here for parts. Shops dont have a clue where to find parts for earlies.
