    Facebook is not a forum

    Forums are better.
I don't post much here, pretty much just when I see a problem that I know the solution to.

And that is where forums rule.

    Example:
Today on facebook, someone posted about the cheap inside door handles that snap off. Personally, I've never snapped one, but I have had the splines strip out.
After a few posts, the OP reveals that instead of pulling straight up, he pulls up and in. (several people were accusing him of pulling the door closed with the handle)
I posted 'the mechanism may be binding, or it may just be that you are pulling at the wrong angle'.

Well, you'd think I insulted his mother. "I just want a stronger handle!"

Turned into a pissing match that I'll admit, I was having fun tweaking his nose a bit, and then all of a sudden, poof! the thread is gone.

So, I come here for a bit to read threads from sane people.

Forums really are where to go for technical questions.

i rarely post on FB. i scroll threw it and am reminded every time as to why i dont post! the google know it alls, the change every thread to pics of my van, the fight about anything and the non vanners that just have to add there two cents. a few that come to mind are spindles from a ball joint car bolt right on, your ball joints are bad and the best, straight 6 has a stretched timing chain, gets told we have gears/no chain and comes back to argue that gm made it both ways depending on the year! i know enough to help most, humble enough to ask what i dont and you can not be either on FB! if i wanted to fight, i would just get married!
